Fri Nov 4, 2016 NYC: First Friday of the Month Latin Mass & Social for Catholic/Christian Professionals

The Catholic Fellowship of NYC invites Catholics/Christians in their 20s, 30s and 40s to join us for a Latin Mass follow by a Social.

Let’s give our devotion to the sacred heart of Jesus by attending the First Friday of the Month Latin Mass.

The Mass is held at The Church of the Holy Innocents in Manhattan, and starts at 6pm on Friday November 4, 2016.

After mass (around 7pm), meet the group outside in front of the church to walk together to a nearby venue for our social. We will identify the group by handing out stickers to each attendee.

Sat Oct 1, 2016 Bryan Mercier on “Following the Pathway to Love” for Catholics/Christians

The Catholic Fellowship of NYC invites you to join us for a special talk by our guest speaker Bryan Mercier on “Following the Pathway to Love” on Saturday October 1, 2016 starting at 6:30pm.  The talk (open to Catholics\Christians 21+, both single and married) will focus on the 4 levels of love: Attraction, Desire, Goodwill, and Marital Love as well as discuss some common pitfalls in dating and what it takes to reach happily-ever-after.

Suggested donation of $10, which will cover our guest speaker’s talk fees and transportation as well as applied towards our continuing support for Food for the Poor.

After the talk, which will end around 8pm, the group will go to a nearby venue for a social.

About our Guest Speaker: For over 20 years, Bryan Mercier (age 41 and resident of Milford, CT) has been an international Catholic speaker and retreat leader on practical topics such as spirituality, faith formation, and apologetics. Bryan has spoken at retreats, seminars, regional gatherings, parish missions, and conferences. He was aired on an 8-week television show covering Catholic apologetics, and on a 2-week radio show covering the Catholic Church. Bryan has taught a young adult Bible Study for over 10 years. He has written many Catholic apologetics tracts and has recently started a blog. He has spoken in front of crowds ranging from 30 to 3,000, and has been aired on both TV and radio in different states. Bryan has also spent 10 years as part of the R.O.C.K. (Revival of Catholic Kids) Ministry Team. He now heads this retreat team, which puts on all-day, half-day, and weekend-long retreats for Confirmation classes and other teen groups.

The Catholic Fellowship of NYC has teamed up with WeekendDating.com to bring you this special speed dating event, which will take place on Friday January 15th starting at 6:45pm on the 2nd floor at Mustang Harry’s located at 352 7th Ave in Manhattan (5 minutes from Penn Station). This event is open to Catholic singles for men and women ages 28-43 who are looking to meet people of similar faith\values.

Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to Catholic Relief Services.

***How Speed Dating Works:*** You will have up to 15 mini speed dates during the night, each one lasting about 4-5 minutes. After each date, you will circle “yes” or “no” on your scorecard as to whether or not you would be interested in corresponding with that person further. After turning in your scorecard, the next day you will receive an email letting you know who you matched with plus one way matches.

NYC: Friday December 5, 2014, Catholic/Christian Professionals Social at The Rubin Museum of Art – K2 Lounge

The Catholic Fellowship of NYC invites Catholic\Christian professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s to a Winter Social at the K2 Lounge of The Rubin Museum of Art (150 W17th Street Between Avenue of the Americas and 7th Avenue in Manhattan) on Friday December 5th from 6pm to 10pm.

Every Friday night the Café at the Museum becomes the K2 Lounge, offering a special Pan Asian Tapas menu to accompany the evening’s DJ and unique thematic gallery tours and programs.

Admission to the galleries is free on Friday. Drink special (2 for 1 special) are available from 6pm-7pm (bar in K2 Lounge closes at 10pm).

The Catholic Fellowship will have a separate area reserved for the group in the lounge. Meet some new people, make some new friends and experience the unique collection, display, and preservation of the art of the Himalayas and surrounding regions, especially that of Tibet.
